The Adventures Programs for kids 9 to 14 years old offers fun and educational opportunities for upper elementary and middle school students.
Flyers are available at the library clerk’s desk and are sent home through the Gillespie elementary and middle school in the Fall and Spring.
Adventures kids enjoy a “kid’s-night-out” at the library with their friends.
We do not require parents to attend Adventures programs, although they are welcome to attend. We do ask that parents/guardians provide transportation to and from the library during bad weather or dark winter nights.
We usually meet upstairs in the large classroom. Adventures programs include art activities, science or history related activities. (The students help choose the topics for upcoming events in the Spring each year.)
